Psych Tutor International is Led by Charlotte Hopwood

​Charlotte achieved an A* in A Level Psychology before going on to complete a BSc in Psychology. She later completed her teacher training at UCL’s Institute of Education, where she obtained her PGCE and Qualified Teacher Status. With over a decade of experience teaching Psychology in leading UK and international schools, she specialises in IB Psychology and AQA A Level Psychology.

Charlotte previously served as Head of Department at Tonbridge Grammar School, named ‘International Baccalaureate School of the Year’, and currently leads Psychology at Sevenoaks School, consistently ranked among the leading IB schools in the UK and globally. She has also been nominated for Pearson’s Teacher of the Year in recognition of her contribution to education and student achievement.

Alongside classroom teaching, Charlotte works as an examiner and specialist tutor, supporting students across the UK and internationally. Her experience as both a teacher and examiner gives students valuable insight into assessment criteria, exam technique, and the skills needed to achieve top grades.

Alongside her academic work, Charlotte is passionate about student wellbeing and sustainable high performance. She is a trained mindfulness teacher and has collaborated with the Harvard Human Flourishing Program on research exploring mindfulness, resilience, and student flourishing. Outside of teaching, she enjoys travelling, live music, playing guitar, and spending time outdoors with her two young boys.
